If you're a car fan and have a Playstation, you're likely intimately familiar with the Gran Turismo series. You're also likely growing impatient waiting for the next full installment - Gran Turismo 5, a title which has been in the works for years, and has thus far produced nothing but a few isolated tech demos and screenshots.

E3 2010 brings some hope, however, in the form of a release date (November 2010) and a handful of gorgeous screenshots. There's also some amazing shots of the Top Gear test track - which will be fully simulated in the upcoming title.

So if you're itching for an update, I've got a couple of great links to check out...

Here's a batch of new screenshots from Kotaku which show the amazing day/night cycle as well as the Top Gear test track: Gran Turismo 5's Most Beautiful Screenshots Yet

Here's a sneak peek at a new Wii title known as "Feel". It's being overseen by Takahashi Shimizu, the director who helped to popularized J-horror with his work on "The Grudge". As Kotaku points out - the control scheme is what makes this so potentially appealing - namely using the Wii remote as a flashlight.

TouchArcade brings news of EA's latest entry in the iPhone app business. SimCity will be arriving in a month or so for $9.99. MG Seigler of VentureBeat already saw it and liked it.

I got a chance to play a near-complete version of it today; it looks great. Fans of the series will recognize the SimCity 3000 look and feel, but the addition of touch screen controls makes sense for things like zoning (creating a certain type of building zone). Using the multi-touch capabilities of the iPhone to do things like zooming in and out of your city also makes the game a good fit for the device.
